Refund Policy
San Diego Chess Club & Social – Event Terms & Conditions + Media Release
By attending this event, participants acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. General Participation
Attendance at San Diego Chess Club & Social events is voluntary. All participants agree to behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, and venue partners. Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.
2. Photography & Video Notice
Events may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes.
By attending, you grant San Diego Chess Club & Social and its partners permission to capture and use your likeness, image, voice, and appearance in photographs, videos, livestreams, or other media.
3. Use of Media
Captured media may be used without compensation for:
Social media content
Website and promotional materials
Advertising and marketing campaigns
Press and media coverage
Future event promotion
This permission is granted in perpetuity and may be used across all media formats now known or later developed.
4. Waiver of Approval
Participants waive any right to inspect or approve finished photos, videos, or promotional materials that include their image or likeness.
5. Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that event activities are social and recreational in nature and attend at their own risk. San Diego Chess Club & Social and its partners are not liable for personal injury, lost property, or damages arising from participation.
6. Opt-Out
If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please notify event staff upon arrival. San Diego Chess Club & Social will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, but due to the public and social nature of the event, exclusion from all photography or video cannot be guaranteed.
All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including changes in personal schedule, late arrival, or non-attendance.
Tickets may be transferred to another person if you are unable to attend. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to arrange any transfer and ensure the new attendee has the valid ticket confirmation at check-in.
